Containment you can prove — vessel by vessel.

API-aligned in-service inspection of pressure vessels (API 510), storage tanks (API 653), process piping (API 570), boilers and heat exchangers — including risk-based inspection (RBI) planning per API 580/581.

Inspection programme

From RBI plan to next-inspection date.

Every vessel and tank follows the same five-stage discipline so your insurers, regulators and turnaround team are aligned.

Stage 01

Data & RBI assessment

Damage mechanisms screened, corrosion rates pulled from history, RBI per API 580/581 produces an inspection plan.

Stage 02

External & CUI survey

External walkdown, CUI inspection at insulation breaks, support and saddle inspection — all photo-documented.

Stage 03

UT thickness & NDT

TML grid measured, MFL or PAUT on welds and shells, internal inspection if scope and shutdown allow.

Stage 04

Fitness-for-service

Findings assessed against API 579 if needed; remaining life and next inspection interval calculated.

Stage 05

Inspection report & record

API 510 / 653 / 570 inspection report issued within 5 working days, with TML map, photos and recommendations.

Frequently asked

Questions our clients ask most often.

What is API 510 inspection?+

API 510 is the in-service inspection standard for pressure vessels. It covers external visual examination, ultrasonic thickness measurement, internal visual inspection during shutdowns, and risk-based inspection (RBI) interval calculation. GCS-certified API 510 inspectors deliver this across Oman.

How often should storage tanks be inspected per API 653?+

External inspection: every 5 years (or RBI-derived interval). Internal inspection: maximum 20 years (typically 10–15 for sour service). Floor MFL scanning is recommended at every internal inspection. We support full API 653 programmes for Omani refineries and tank farms.

Do you provide piping inspection per API 570?+

Yes. Our API 570-certified inspectors perform TML (thickness measurement location) surveys, CUI (corrosion under insulation) inspection, small-bore branch inspection and injection-point monitoring. We map TMLs digitally for trend tracking.

Can you handle full plant turnaround inspections?+

Yes. We coordinate multi-discipline turnaround teams (vessel + piping + heat exchanger + welding + NDT) for refinery, petrochemical and gas-plant turnarounds in Sohar, Duqm and across Oman. Single point of contact, consolidated reporting.

What is risk-based inspection (RBI)?+

RBI uses a structured assessment of probability of failure (corrosion rates, damage mechanisms) and consequence of failure (safety, environment, financial) to set inspection intervals — typically per API 580/581. RBI extends inspection intervals on low-risk equipment while focusing effort on high-risk assets.
