Lifting equipment load testing — proof under load.
Proof-load testing of cranes, hoists, lifting beams, padeyes and frames using calibrated load cells and test weights to LOLER, ASME B30 and EN standards.
Independent lifting equipment load testing in Oman.
A proof-load test demonstrates a lifting appliance or accessory can safely carry its rated load. GCS applies controlled overload with calibrated load cells, water bags or test weights, monitors for deformation and issues a load-test certificate.

Questions our clients ask most often.
What load is applied in a proof test?
Typically 1.25× the SWL for appliances and up to 2× for some accessories, per the governing standard and OEM data. We confirm the correct proof factor before testing and record the applied load with calibrated cells.
Is GCS a LEEA member?
Yes. GCS is a Full Member of the Lifting Equipment Engineers Association (LEEA) and operates an ISO 17020 inspection scheme — the de-facto standard for credible lifting inspection in Oman.
Do you provide test weights and water bags?
Yes. We mobilise calibrated test weights and water-bag load systems with calibrated load cells, so on-site testing needs no special client provision.
How quickly can GCS mobilise lifting equipment load testing in Oman?
For routine work in Muscat, Sohar or Duqm, mobilisation is typically within 2 working days. Emergency and field jobs can be mobilised same-day, with reports issued within 5 working days.
