Equipment condition assessment — grade & remaining life.
Independent condition surveys that grade mechanical and structural assets for fitness for service and estimate remaining life, combining visual, NDT and dimensional data.
Know the true condition before you commit.
Before a major spend, shutdown or acquisition you need an honest picture of asset condition. GCS surveys the equipment, maps wear and corrosion, samples with NDT, and delivers a graded condition report with a remaining-life view and prioritised actions.

Questions our clients ask most often.
What is the difference between condition assessment and inspection?
A statutory inspection answers “is it safe to use now?”. A condition assessment goes further: it grades overall health, quantifies degradation rate and estimates remaining life to support repair-vs-replace and budgeting decisions.
Can you assess equipment we are buying second-hand?
Yes. Pre-purchase condition assessments are a common request. We provide an independent, documented view of condition, defects and likely remaining life so you can negotiate or budget with confidence.
What certification do you issue?
A formal report with photographs, defect lists and recommendations, plus a Certificate of Conformity citing the specific clause references. Hard-copy and electronic certificates are available, and records are retained for audit.
How quickly can GCS mobilise an equipment condition assessment in Oman?
For routine work in Muscat, Sohar or Duqm, mobilisation is typically within 2 working days. Emergency and post-incident jobs can be mobilised same-day, with reports issued within 5 working days.
